CALEIDO

Montecarlo productions

The present Montecarlo production simulates electrons or pions on a prototype of 25 conters (1 mm lead 1 mm scintillator, 80+80 slices) with or without lateral diodes.

Resolution Plots

The two first plots show the resolution curve obtained sending the electrons to the center of the central counter. The third plot shows the effect of the lateral diodes (disposed on the same side) on the energy response as function of the impact position (x). The center of the counter is at x=0, the diodes are at x=2.5 In the last file, resolution plots for different diode disposition are available

Electron-Pion Separation

The effects of 10 GeV Electrons and Pions are shown on the total energy and on the energy released on the first part of the detector corresponding to the first lateral diode.
